About Us

Wildwoods Aromatherapy Institute began with Certified Aromatherapist, Pamela Westerman and her passion for the healing qualities of pure essential oils.  As the popularity of essential oils began to grow, Pamela recognized the need for quality education programs and professional aromatherapy training.  Her love of teaching and her desire to share her knowledge of aromatherapy prompted her to begin teaching aromatherapy classes and workshops in 2005, and eventually offering a full 280 hour Aromatherapy Certification Course.

Wildwoods curriculum offers a comprehensive essential oil study that embraces the latest clinical research in essential oils.  Our students develop the skills necessary to blend for therapeutic benefit while incorporating all aspects of aroma, chemistry and energetics.

Wildwoods Aromatherapy Institute is located in the beautiful Ozarks near the pristine Buffalo River National Park in Yellville, AR.  The area is known for its floating, hiking and abundant natural beauty. 

Instructor and Aromatherapist Pamela Westerman began a sincere study of natural medicines including herbology and aromatherapy in 1991.  She is a certified aromatherapist, skin care specialist, hatha yoga instructor and has been a licenced massage therapist for over 20 years.

Pamela has moved to Buffalo River valley of the Ozarks in 2007 and enjoys the quiet, natural beauty this area has to offer.  The Ozarks are one of the most diverse ecosystems in the whole of North America.  The 'Wildwoods' of the Ozarks is abundant in native medicinal plants and spectacular flora and fauna.  Be sure to schedule time for a hike or a  river float while in the area.
